Winner winner, this chicken dinner!!! This is the exact same as a Mississippi Pot Roast, which we were already HUGE fans of.
The wonderful human being behind The Country Cook did the one thing that I needed to be able to eat this wonderful concoction more often. They used CHICKEN!! Chicken is one of the cheaper meats and we buy it more often than we do beef. In fact, the only time we get beef is when it is on a last day sale rack.
But I love the flavor that the au jus mix and the ranch dressing mix gives the meat with the pepperoncinis. Plus there’s a whole stick of butter involved and you can NEVER go wrong with a whole stick of butter.
This got a 4/5 approval rating in our household. I served it on buns with mashed potatoes and buttered corn. My only regret is that I didn’t make a double batch, because they ate up the leftovers.
